Important Season Details
Eligibility: Registration is open to all children living in the Madeira City School District. Note: Athletes living outside the district who do not have a volleyball program offered by their own school or district may be considered on a case-by-case basis. These requests are subject to approval by the Program Coordinator.
Cost: $120 per player. This includes home gym fees, so there is no need to carry cash for gate fees when playing in Madeira!
You will notice an adjustment in our registration fees this season to $120 per player. This update brings Madeira Rec Volleyball in line with other local youth sports programs and reflects the rising costs of gym rentals, league and referee fees, equipment, and insurance.
This adjustment ensures we can continue to provide a high-quality experience for our athletes—including professional developmental partnerships like L.E.A.P. and Supplement Clinics—while maintaining a "gate-fee-free" environment for all home games.

Equipment: Players should wear shorts, gym shoes, and knee pads. Grades 2–6 will play with a Volley-Lite ball; Boys 7th/8th grade will use the OHSAA official high school ball. Players will be responsible to bring this ball to practice and games. Players will be provided a ball if requested.
Schedule: Practice days and times are determined by gym space and coach availability. Please note any recurring activity conflicts during registration so we can do our best to accommodate your placement.
Volunteer Requirement: We are an all-volunteer organization! By registering, you agree to help during games. Roles are easy and can be learned on the spot, including line judging, scoreboard operation, and gym monitoring.
Divisions & Programming
NEW: L.E.A.P. League (Grade 2): A developmental partnership with Ohio Premier Volleyball Club (OPVC) focusing on high-energy skill building and technical foundations.
Recreation Divisions:
Girls: Individual grade-level divisions for Grades 4–8.
Boys: Combined divisions (3rd/4th, 5th/6th, and 7th/8th) unless participation numbers allow for individual grade teams and league offerings.
Note for 3rd Grade: We are currently awaiting league confirmation on the 3rd-grade format (Triple Ball vs. 6v6) and will update families as soon as a decision is made.
Athletic Division (5th & 6th Grade Girls): This is a competitive, tryout-based division with no minimum playing time requirements and advanced positional play.
Team Formation & Coaching
Team Selection: Once teams are set, we cannot make changes. Please ensure all extracurricular conflicts are noted in your registration; refunds will not be issued for conflicts that were not disclosed. Final team formations and player placements are at the discretion of the Program Coordinator.
