About Us
Welcome to Madeira Rec Volleyball! We are an all-volunteer organization made up of passionate parents and community members who dedicate their time and energy to growing the sport of volleyball and fostering a lifelong love for the game in our youth.
Our mission is to provide youth athletes living within the Madeira School District the opportunity to play on teams associated with the Cincinnati Premier Youth Volleyball League (CPYVL). We strive to create a fun, rewarding, and supportive environment where athletes can develop their skills, build teamwork, and enjoy the sport.
Program Overview
Who We Serve: We offer teams for both boys and girls in Grades 3–8.
Divisions:
Recreation: Open to all skill levels (Grades 3–8).
Athletic: A competitive division offered for 5th and 6th-grade girls. Please note that placement in this division is determined by evaluations/tryouts.
Seasons: We offer two primary seasons—Spring (Mar-May) and Fall (Aug-Oct).
The Format: Each season consists of 6 weeks of regular-season games, followed by an exciting postseason single-elimination tournament.
Equipment: To ensure proper skill development, athletes in Grades 3–6 play with a VolleyLite ball. Boys 7th/8th grade will use the OHSAA official high school ball. Players will be responsible to bring this ball to practice and games. Players will be provided a ball if requested.
League Standards
As a member of CPYVL, we uphold high standards for sportsmanship and play. We encourage all families to visit www.CPYVL.com to review the official league rules and the Parent & Player Code of Conduct.
